Opening of the Dual Exhibition on VME and SIE Support Industries 2023
On the morning of August 9, 2023, the Dual Exhibition on VME and SIE Support Industries 2023 was officially inaugurated in Hanoi. Termed a ‘dual exhibition,’ this event marks the amalgamation of the 10th Supporting Industries Exhibition – SIE and the 14th Vietnam Manufacturing Expo – VME 2023.
This collaboration is orchestrated by RX Tradex in partnership with the Department of Trade Promotion (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) – Hanoi Representative Office. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 9th to 11th, 2023, at the Friendship Cultural Palace – Vietnam – Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace.
This year’s ‘dual exhibition,’ VME-SIE, sees the participation of over 200 entities, including manufacturers, businesses, machinery, and industrial support equipment producers from more than 20 countries. The event features prominent brands from various countries, such as IGUS, LKM, HIWIN, MITUTOYO, KIMSEN, etc. Of particular note are the two dedicated ‘zones’ within the exhibition: the Fastener Fair Vietnam and the Post-processing and Outsourcing Exhibition (ViMAT).
As anticipated, VME-SIE 2023 is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors, including manufacturers, businesses, managers, and engineers active in the fields of industry and manufacturing. According to reported figures, on the very first day of VME-SIE 2023, more than 3,500 visitors were welcomed. The event features remarkable experiential activities, including technology demonstrations, puzzle-solving challenges, digital experiences with Emperia, and networking opportunities at international booths.
Spanning three days, the VME-SIE 2023 ‘dual exhibition’ is poised to foster connections, sharing of achievements in research and product development within the supporting industries sector, thereby contributing to investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, as well as on the global market.

Interviewed on the opening day of the exhibition, Ms. Ness Phan – Director of Berlin Love Vietnam, one of Asia’s fastest-growing consulting firms, shared: ‘This is the second time I’ve attended the VME exhibition. This year, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of components and multiple choices. I will be exploring products and partners that align with our company’s key criteria of pricing and quality.’

I’ve noticed the presence of companies from Taiwan, Japan, China, and fewer products from Vietnam. Hopefully, next year, we will see more Vietnamese-origin products introduced here.’
